Senior Economist (80% - 100%)
The International Policy Analysis unit prepares background documentation, analyses and research papers on international issues relevant to the SNB. The place of work is Zurich.
Your role
- Preparing background documentation on international economic policy matters and helping to develop the SNB’s position in these areas;
- Conducting independent analysis, as well as writing and publishing research papers on international economic affairs issues of relevance to the SNB;
- Advising bank management on all issues related to international economic policy and preparing for participation in international meetings, including drafting speaking points;
- Representing the SNB in international working groups.
Your profile
- Doctorate in economics, preferably with a focus on international macroeconomics or international finance;
- Proven research experience and strong interest in global economic issues;
- Outstanding analytical and editorial skills;
- Expertise in the application of statistical and econometric methods as well as experience in analysing large datasets;
- Ideally, experience in providing international economic policy advice;
- Excellent command of spoken and written English, as well as very good German or French language skills.
