Intern in International Economic Policy Analysis (80% - 100%)

 

The International Policy Analysis unit conducts research and analysis on international issues of relevance to the SNB. The internship offers candidates the opportunity to work closely with our experienced economists, to develop their own analytical skills and to gain insight into the SNB's decision-making process. The internship lasts 13 months. Start date: 1 July 2025 or by arrangement. Our offices are centrally located in Zurich. 

 

 

 

Your role

  • Contributing to empirical projects on international economic policy issues;
  • Capturing, evaluating and visualising data;
  • Creating, maintaining and analysing databases, as well as conducting econometric and statistical analyses;
  • Contributing to internal and external publications.

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in economics (completed or near completion) and interest in international macroeconomics;
  • Sound knowledge of econometrics and very good programming skills in R and Stata; experience in handling large databases an advantage;
  • Very good English language skills and good knowledge of German or French;
  • Strong sense of responsibility and team spirit as well as an independent, structured way of working.
